Special Airfare Deals – San Francisco to Honolulu

For those of you in San Francisco and are looking to travel to Hawaii, you are in luck because there is new travel deal that is quite remarkable. Hawaiian Airlines is offering a special on airfare between San Francisco to Honolulu for $155 each way. The travel dates February 27th and March 3 to 5th. During this time Hawaiian is also offering other airfare deals but it is just a matter of finding the price. With Hawaiian Airlines coming out with special after special it looks like United Airlines is also getting into the mix with offering airfare around the same price around Hawaiian and also for the same dates. These airfare specials are until May but it looks like the best pricing is between late February and March and the best days to travel are Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. For Hawaii airfare this has been a great spring season as more and more airline carriers are getting aggressive with their prices to Hawaii. It should be interesting to see if this continues in the Summer and Winter months.

One of the most hyped resorts to ever hit Hawaii was the Aulani on the island of Hawaii. Located miles away from the city life and Waikiki, the Aulani is a beautiful resort owned by Disney. It’s located right on the water and has all the amenities you can expect from a Disney hotel from great service to eating with the Disney characters. Also like other Disney resorts around the world it isn’t cheap. On average you can expect to pay in the $250 per night range if you want to stay there. Recently though I heard of a way where you can stay at the Aulani for free as there is a free trip giveaway from Live with Kelly. The sweepstakes period began on December 19 and will end on December 30. You need to watch Live with Kelly and each day they will give you a new clue to help you win one of the 5 free trips. This promotion coincides with them shooting an episode at the Aulani so if you  are a big Kelly Ripa fan then a double score for you. Hawaii Airfare Deal of the Week

At Hawaii on Sale we try to monitor the airfare prices every week to see what are some of the lowest deals available. This week we found a great deal with Hawaiian Airlines from the Bay Area and Los Angeles to Maui, Oahu and the Big Island. The sale is till today and it is for $150 one way to each of these locations. You must travel between the dates of January 5th to January 30th. Bay Area cities include San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland. If you have some free time during these dates I highly recommend you trying to get a seat because these are really good fares. Prices may not be available for all dates and you may need to travel between Monday and Thursday as the weekends usually have higher rates.

Hawaiian Airlines to Offer Inter Island Travel Plans

Back in the day inter-island carriers like Aloha Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines used to offer cheap vouchers for inter-island travel that made it cheaper to travel from island to island. A while back they got rid of this and made it more expensive for a trip from say Oahu to Kauai. Well this past week Hawaiian Airlines has decided to bring something similar back to the market to make inter-island travel more affordable. Hawaiian Airlines will now be offering a travel plan where you travelers can now lock in lower fares over a 12-month period with this new product introduced today by Hawaiian Airlines. By doing this it will now make it easier for those who travel from island to island easier and cheaper. As of lately Hawaiian Airlines has done a lot to promote the Hawaii travel industry from this new inter-island plan, to its discounted fares and its new service from New York. With more and more competition coming to Hawaii you can only expect more to come from Hawaiian Airlines as they try to continue being the leader in Hawaii travel. I applaud them for what they are doing and is the reason why they are the favorite airlines with people from Hawaii.

Hawaii Hotels See Higher Occupancy Rates

With the economy coming back to life we have begun seeing more and more people taking vacations to Hawaii over the last year. With the increase in travelers there has also been an increase in hotel occupancy rates. From a recent report on the status of the Hawaii hotel industry, it said that Hawaii hotels statewide were 70.8 percent occupied for the week ending Nov. 26, while the average room rate rose to $194.68, the report said.

This was great news for the travel industry as a whole. While there has been an increase in travelers the other big plus is that visitor spending has also increased. When the recession hit a lot of businesses had problems surviving with many going out of business due to the lack of people traveling to Hawaii. There was still a high occupancy rate at the major hotels in Hawaii but that was due to the fact that room rates were so low. The good news for the local travel industry was not only the increase in occupancy rate but also the increase in room rates. While this might not be good for travelers it does show that people are still willing to pay for a vacation to Hawaii due to the fact that it is one of the top travel destinations in the world.
